The Standard Portlet Collection Project 7 provides not yet existing JSR-168 portlets every community needs under the GPL licence as part of a project thesis at the University of Bamberg.
In future SPCP7 may serve as a basis for further development in the open source portlet sector.
Currently only a not yet complete banner advertisement portlet and an image gallery portlet which can be connected to nearly every Content Management System exist. The image gallery can be connected to the Alfresco Content Management System at the moment, but interfaces for implementations of other Content Providers exist. Both portlets use technologies/tools like maven, Java Server Faces (ICEFaces) and the Java Persistence API (Hibernate).
